Knox Findata is a payroll specialist based in Randburg, Johannesburg. We work with South African businesses that want their payroll run properly, and we have built a specialist focus on contract cleaning companies and the payroll challenges that come with them.

Payroll Savings With a Bigger Purpose.
I received my first payroll contract in 2015: a small logistics company with four employees who needed their monthly payroll run. I learned on the job, earned the owner’s trust, and grew through their referrals.
Since then, I have worked with businesses of different sizes, each with its own pressures, people and deadlines. But one experience shaped the purpose behind Knox Findata more than any other.
While consulting for a cleaning company with 62 employees, I missed an opportunity to help them access approximately R26,000 a month in payroll savings and rebates. At the time, I did not have the depth of experience and research that I have today. That missed opportunity has stayed with me.
I think about what that money could have meant to the owner, their business and the people they employed. It drove me to deepen my knowledge and build a business dedicated to finding and implementing the payroll savings that cleaning companies qualify for.
Today, my mission is to help 1,000 cleaning companies across South Africa keep more money in their businesses through legitimate payroll savings and rebates, giving them more room to grow, look after their teams and create jobs.
Along the way, I have learned to lead under pressure. Shortly after lockdown, I led a team that built a payroll system and process for 410 employees at an Eskom subsidiary. We had three days to deliver. That experience taught me how much a focused team can achieve when the deadline matters.
But the work that gives me the greatest fulfilment is helping smaller business owners. Hearing the disbelief, followed by delight, when I present their payroll analysis reminds me why Knox exists.
For an owner who carries the responsibility of salaries, clients and cash flow, savings can make a meaningful difference. They can create room for another employee, fund business growth, or help the owner finally take home a salary that better reflects their effort.
That is what keeps me committed through late nights, demanding deadlines and last-minute changes: knowing that behind every payroll is a business someone has worked hard to build, and people who depend on it.
